Is DTF better than heat transfer vinyl?
For anything with more than one colour, fine detail or a batch bigger than a handful, yes. DTF prints full colour in one pass with nothing to weed, and it's softer on the garment. HTV still makes sense for single colour, one off jobs if you already own a cutter.
Can I order printed heat transfer vinyl instead?
What most people mean by printed HTV is exactly what a DTF transfer is: your full colour design, ready to press, no cutting. Order it by size from $2.50 or as a gang sheet.
Can I use my existing heat press?
Yes. Any press that holds 140 to 150°C with firm pressure. Same press, same garments, less prep.
Does it feel like vinyl on the shirt?
Softer and thinner. It stretches with the fabric and lasts 50+ washes without cracking.
What file do I send?
A PNG with a transparent background at the size you want it printed. Send what you've got and we'll check it before printing.
What if it doesn't work out?
Send a photo within 14 days and we'll reprint or refund. Nothing to post back.
